Some of my favortie stir fry recipes call for hoisin sauce. However, it is made with soy sauce and contains wheat. I was looking to make a stir fry recipe that called for hoisin sauce and decided to see if I could find a recipe to make it myself. You will be surprised to find that you probably have most of the ingridients already.
5 tablespoons San-J wheat free soy sauce
3 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 1/2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
a dash of white pepper
I found that it is best to blend this in blender or with a hand blender. I used my magic bullet. At first I tried using a fork to whisk it all together but the peanut butter does not readily mix with the soy sauce.
